Process Reliability Lead Visionazul Columbia, SC Job Details Permanent | Full-time From $45 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Preventative hardware maintenance 6 years Calibration Engineering Equipment installation Mechanical Engineering Electrical engineering Industrial equipment troubleshooting CMMS Databases Nuclear facility experience Industrial Engineering Systems engineering Avionics Manufacturing Commissioning phase involvement Root cause analysis Senior level Electrical Engineering Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description At Visionazul, we don't just "fix" machines; we own their uptime and precision. You will be the primary architect of a world-class ceramic manufacturing and metals removal facility. You aren't joining a legacy plant; you are joining a mission to build one from a blank slate. You will oversee the arrival, installation, and long-term technical reliability of high-precision injection and thermal equipment. You aren't a cog in a machine; you are the Reliability Lead for a startup disrupting the power generation industry. You will have a seat at the table as we scale toward our goal of creative lean manufacturing achieving high yields and upgraded throughput. We provide the power; you provide the heartbeat.
Infrastructure & Commissioning:
Lead the layout and connection of equipment to our 7,500 kVa power system. Ensure every piece of equipment is installed and calibrated to exact specifications upon installation.
Strategic Asset Mapping:
Build and manage a comprehensive technical database and CMMS from the ground up. You will define the baseline for every mechanical and electrical system in the facility. Preventative & Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM): Develop the "Heartbeat" of the plant; rigorous maintenance cycles that ensure we never lose a batch to mechanical drift or environmental variance.
Process Guardianship:
Act as the technical bridge between the "Recipe" (Process Engineering) and the equipment. You ensure the physical environment remains an exact, repeatable variable.
Root Cause Excellence:
When a system deviates, you don't just restore it; you re-engineer the failure point to ensure it is a "one-time" event.
Role-Related Mastery:
4+ years of industrial maintenance or systems engineering in high-precision environments (Aerospace, Semiconductor, Medical, or Power Generation).
Cognitive Ability:
Exceptional logical troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve multi-variable mechanical/electrical puzzles.
Process Discipline:
A "Checklist" mindset. You believe that shortcuts are the primary enemy of quality and safety.
Education/Equivalent:
A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred, OR a completed technical apprenticeship with 6+ years of specialized field experience. We value diverse technical backgrounds and highly encourage applicants with experience in:
Military Technical Roles:
(e.g., Navy Nuclear Power, Aviation Avionics, or Prime Power).
Materials Science:
Understanding the physics of thermal expansion and material behavior.
Systems Engineering:
Looking at the plant as a single integrated ecosystem rather than isolated parts. Visionazul looks for indicators of "Recipe Adherence" beyond the resume. We value candidates who pursue high-precision hobbies, such as:
Restoration:
(Vintage engines, mechanical watches, or complex electronics).
Technical Craft:
(Scale modeling, home brewing, or amateur radio).
Disciplined Arts:
(Any discipline requiring strict adherence to a "score" or manual).
Pay:
From $45.00 per hour
Work Location:
In person
