Controls Engineer

Join a hands‑on engineering team responsible for developing and supporting PLC automation , robotics , and plant‑floor systems that keep production running safely and efficiently. What You'll Do Design and implement PLC and robot programs for new and existing equipment. Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues to minimize downtime. Build and improve HMI applications for better operator visibility. Lead equipment upgrades and improvement projects from concept through installation. Support new technology launches and cross‑functional integration into production. Assist with supplier selection and ensure capital projects meet timelines. Contribute to preventative maintenance plans for controls and electrical systems. Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and spare‑parts records. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years as a Controls Engineer in manufacturing or system integration. Experience with ABB or Yaskawa Motoman robots. Proficiency in Allen‑Bradley Studio 5000 and RSLogix 500. HMI development using FactoryTalk View or Studio 5000 View Designer. Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working directly on the plant floor. Solid project‑management, problem‑solving, and attention to detail. Knowledge of EtherNet/IP , DeviceNet, CAD tools, and lean/CI principles. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Florence, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
