Job Description Provide administrative processes, technical expertise, and leadership. This role oversees a specific discipline area and ensures technical accuracy across all phases of project execution. This is a lead role supporting projects of advanced complexity on-site in Greenville, South Carolina. Support the Discipline Lead Engineer and act as an Area Lead, providing guidance to engineers and designers Develop and recommend solutions to complex technical problems in alignment with project requirements Develop and review specifications and design criteria Perform and verify engineering analyses, calculations, and system designs; specify materials and equipment Coordinate with cross-functional teams, project management, vendors, and clients Ensure compliance with project quality plans, procedures, scope, cost, and schedule Develop estimates, schedules, progress reports, and staffing forecasts Track and analyze material quantities and project metrics Support procurement and subcontracting activities (scope development, bid evaluations, vendor review) Provide technical support during construction, including RFIs and field changes Perform other assigned duties Basic Requirements U.S. Citizenship required Bachelor's degree in Electrical (Power) Engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards Strong communication skills across project teams, clients, and vendors Advanced understanding of discipline-specific codes and standards Ability to comply with applicable regulations and guidelines Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently Proficiency with standard computer and engineering software tools Experience Requirements Experience delivering Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services on large industrial projects Proficiency in engineering analysis, 2D/3D design, and CADD tools in a multidisciplinary environment Discipline-Specific Responsibilities Apply applicable codes, standards, and client requirements to develop electrical design and construction documents Create and modify drawings (single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring, lighting, grounding, etc.) Perform system studies (short circuit, load flow, motor starting, harmonics, relay coordination, grounding) Develop classifications and electrical design documentation Perform calculations (voltage drop, cable sizing, coordination, etc.) Prepare motor schematics and wiring diagrams Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience designing systems for highly regulated or complex facilities under recognized engineering standards Knowledge of material availability and cost considerations Experience leading or supporting large projects Project controls experience (scheduling, reporting, project close-out) Field or construction experience EPC experience in industries such as: Government or federal programs Facilities operating under strict quality assurance requirements Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology Experience with advanced 3D modeling/design tools Experience with professional lighting design software Advanced knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and power systems Experience with electrical power system software (e.g., SPEL, ETAP, or similar tools) Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Principal Electrical Design Engineer
