About the Role
BASIC PURPOSE
  • Currently this position provides support to manufacturing automation. Designs, advises, implements, and troubleshoots automated systems to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety. Shift

  • $95,000 SKILLS & ABILITIES Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Controls Engineering with 5+ years of experience in the industry.
Ability to interpret and create electrical prints Ability to use CAD Applications such as AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN / Visio Must have extensive knowledge of Rockwell Automation software and hardware. Must have knowledge of other PLC and HMI hardware and software products from vendors such as Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider Electric, and others. Must have knowledge of serial/digital communication protocols i.e. Ethernet IP, Profinet, RS232, CAN, etc. Must have experience implementing system designs.
ACTUAL TASKS
Create and edit PLC and HMI programs for internal equipment. Select and configure appropriate control components, sensors, drives, and other instruments for projects. Design electrical schematics, network architecture diagrams, and panel layouts. Troubleshoot issues to provide root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. Support development and commission new equipment and upgrades. Identify cost reduction and optimization opportunities Evaluate systems for operational safety and make recommendations Configure communication interfaces to other control systems (PLCs, HMIs, Robots, Sensors, Lasers, etc.) Although we have described above what we are generally looking for, we are very likely missing other attributes and skills that may make you a great fit!
