We offer weekly pay + benefits.
Pay/Schedule:
$48 - $70 DOE, Monday to Friday (In-office 4 days, Mon to Thu. Remote Fri. 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm EST. About the Role You'll join a team that designs and builds one-of-a-kind underwater robotic and electromechanical systems for the U.S. Navy and other DoD customers — complex, mission-critical equipment that doesn't exist anywhere else. This isn't a desk job. You'll own significant portions of electrical and control system designs end-to-end, and when the design is done, you'll help build and test it. If you're an EE who wants to stay hands-on and work on something new every time, this is the role. What You'll Do Lead electrical and control system design for underwater robotic systems and subsystems Develop designs from high-level, incomplete requirements with minimal supervision Participate in and prepare design reviews Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and systems engineers Mentor junior engineers and technicians as needed Support assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and testing of finished systems Requirements BSEE or related degree (Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or equivalent experience) 7+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience — concept through design, build, and test Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a DoD Security Clearance (active clearance preferred) Preferred Skills COTS equipment selection and integration Embedded microprocessor / single-board computer (SBC) control systems Serial communications: RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet DC power systems design; power/energy estimation EMI/noise mitigation design practices Schematic and wiring diagram creation (Altium Designer, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD) Test equipment: oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, hipot testers, etc. Additional Desired Prior experience with ROVs, AUVs, underwater systems, or sonar PCB design experience Brushless motor drives, robotics, or closed-loop control systems Knowledge of MIL, IEEE, NEMA, NEC, or IEC standards Fiber optics or machine safety systems experience Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and offshore) #LP1
