Job Description

Arconic is currently in search of Electrical Engineer to join our Finishing Department based in Alcoa, TN . Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide engineering support to maintenance, safety, quality, and operations. This includes restoring product flow, providing technical solutions to recurring problems, analyze equipment and process data to identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions and system improvements to address those opportunities.
You have:
(required) Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university Minimum of 1 year of experience in an electrical engineering field Minimum of 1 year of experience with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred) Experience with ladder logic and programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), Rockwell and Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred Experience specifying, installing and troubleshooting DC and AC motor drives systems. Experience with networking equipment, installation, troubleshooting and commissioning. (ideally as it pertains to Automation Communication). Experience with power distribution systems. Manufacturing experience in the metals or similar industry, with aluminum rolling or processing preferred. Experience with rolling mills and mill controls, shears, strip processing and coiling, metal process furnaces or casting equipment Technical knowledge to support the installation, operation, and repair of electrical controls and automation technology Previous experience with data acquisition systems and data analytics Experience in justifying, managing and executing capital projects. Strong written and oral communications skills. •trong problem solving and creative thinking skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams. In this role, you will: Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations across the department including restoring flow during breakdowns and developing preventative maintenance systems (including during the off shift) Troubleshoot equipment and process problems to root cause, providing engineered solutions to these problems Manage large equipment rebuilds - development, justification, management and implementation of these projects Develop into the technical equipment expertise for the department and provide technical leadership Support the department's Quality, Safety, and Environmental goals
