Full Job Description Description:
This person will be serving as the in-market technical expert for currently in development or already fielded connectivity modules within the US and Canada markets. They will work closely with the local engineering teams, and also with their counterparts in Germany to serve as the key bridge between the two continents, and to be the local on-site expert for the connectivity module, including specification, in-depth analysis and troubleshooting, test activities, and support of fielded systems.Role Responsibilities:
On-Site Resident Connectivity Engineer- (65%) Tests and analyses connectivity module performance, SW readiness, and tracks core issues with the connectivity unit, MNOs, backends, service platforms, and customer interfaces.
- (15%) Ensure the test benches and vehicles are at the correct version levels Define and implement changes with the team as required Support for Chattanooga Factory Issues
- (10%) Supports with analysis of connectivity topics during pre-series and series programs at the Chattanooga factory Field Error Analysis
- (10%) Supports with analysis of customer connectivity topics

Experience developing connectivity modules, mobile phones, and connected devices Experience with developing infotainment systems, architectures, and system interconnects Experience specifying SW Architectures and Features Experience in connected services and connected application development Understanding of vehicle communication networks and the ability to capture and analyze communication tracesDesired:
Experience with developing automotive infotainment control module functionalities Experience releasing full vehicle electrical systems (module and functional design approval) Experience integrating new SW Functionalities into a connected environment Experience with Volkswagen infotainment control modulesYears of Experience Required:
3-5 years of related engineering experienceEducation Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentDesired:
Master's inElectrical Engineering Work Flexibility:
Requires onsite work Travel to the suppliers and VW facilities Frequent road testing consisting of 1-2 weeks on the roadPay:
