Full Job Description What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineering Associate to join our Facilities Engineering Solution Center. This role supports the design and development of electrical systems for a diverse portfolio of industrial, commercial, and healthcare projects, contributing to solutions that power critical infrastructure and enhance the built environment. Responsibilities Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, review agencies to provide a comprehensive project report or detailed design. Prepare engineering and design documents using computer assisted engineering and design software to generate 2D and 3D models and plans. Assists in the analysis or preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, permits, and designs for project Perform lighting photometric designs. Perform electrical calculations for voltage drop and cable sizing, electrical service sizing, panelboard, and electrical equipment designs. Perform electrical studies including short circuit analysis, coordination, and arc flash studies. Coordinate with other disciplines including civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical engineering to complete detailed designs. Participate in project site visits with other project team members as needed. Participate in Construction Administration of projects by reviewing submittals, assisting engineers in responding to requests for information from contractors. Demonstrates strong attention to detail. Able to learn and implement code requirements on projects including National Electrical Code, standard operations, policies, and procedures. Performs other duties as requested
Education & Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university EIT Certification At least 2+ years of experience in the industry is preferred Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job-related manuals and documents Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously Strong interpersonal/communication and teamworking skills Why join us?
