Operation Manager/General Manager Core Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day activities for civil related projects and tasks assigned. Will be responsible for crew management, and other necessary logistics for this duty. Will support customers' needs at a high level. Additionally, oversee the engineering, design, and technical support functions for electrical construction and telecommunications-related projects. This position will be responsible for developing electrical designs, reviewing plans and specifications, supporting field operations with engineering expertise, and ensuring projects are designed and executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university required. Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is preferred but not required. Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, grounding, and applicable codes and standards. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) to the customer and our internal teams. This includes being professional, courteous, understanding, great attitude, and flexible. Must be a self-starter, flexible, adaptable, and need very little direction. Must be efficient with a computer and all programs. (Email, Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.) Must be highly organized and able to multi-task to track tasks efficiently and follow up accordingly. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Must be a team player. Willing to step in and help wherever is needed. Duties /
Responsibilities:
Manage all related tasks that are assigned to you. Prepare and review electrical designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications for assigned projects. Review customer requirements and project documentation to ensure designs meet operational needs and applicable codes Develop engineering solutions for power systems, equipment installations, grounding systems, and other electrical infrastructure. Assist with material selection and coordinate with procurement personnel regarding equipment and material requirements. Support troubleshooting and problem resolution during construction and commissioning activities. Stay informed on applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and emerging technologies Responsible for working with other PM's and CM's to develop weekly schedules, crews, and needs. Responsible for capturing change orders and communication to AP for billing purposes. Responsible for administrative tasks such as providing quotes/estimates, schedule meetings, etc. Responsible for managing budgets for assigned jobs. Maintain daily communication with CM/ teams to ensure updates, safety initiatives, and project progress are being handled efficiently. Must be willing to be available for crews during off-hours if needed. Serve as primary point of contact for customer-related issues such as availability, etc. for assigned tasks. Responsible for closeout documentation that is required for your assigned job.
Other Responsibilities:
Participate in customer meetings and conference calls to provide technical guidance and engineering support. Assist with the development and implementation of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to design quality, safety, and project execution. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to project teams and field personnel when necessary. Be available to provide engineering support for critical project issues or field conditions as needed.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in electrical construction, telecommunications infrastructure, industrial facilities, or utility-related projects. Experience designing electrical systems and supporting construction execution. Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and permitting requirements. Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced project environment.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
