Job description Overview We are partnering with a growing engineering firm to identify a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their team onsite in Tennessee. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys both technical design and project oversight. This role will serve as a key contributor across commercial, mixed-use, and industrial projects, providing technical direction, quality oversight, and coordination across disciplines. The ideal candidate is confident leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and serving as a technical point of contact for clients and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and quality oversight for electrical engineering deliverables across multiple projects Serve as Engineer of Record as appropriate Manage project responsibilities including cost estimating, scheduling, and resource planning Establish and enhance electrical engineering standards, best practices, and technical guidelines Review design documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes and industry standards Provide mentorship, training, and development support to junior engineering staff Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and code officials Offer technical recommendations and cost-conscious solutions throughout project lifecycles Required Skills Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program Minimum 6 years of professional experience in electrical engineering Ability to qualify for professional licensure in the state of Tennessee Strong project management capabilities Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Strong understanding of electrical design codes and standards Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license Licensure in multiple states Experience designing commercial, mixed-use, or industrial facilities Prior experience providing technical oversight or mentoring junior engineers How to If you are an experienced electrical engineer seeking a leadership opportunity with long-term growth potential, we encourage you to submit your resume for confidential consideration.
