Controls Engineer We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support large-scale industrial and data center projects. This role focuses on PLC programming, high-volume I/O systems, and integration of electrical equipment within complex environments. Controls Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems for industrial applications
- Develop and implement logic using ladder logic, function block, and structured text
- Configure and support high-volume I/O systems, including projects with up to 12,000 input/output points
- Integrate control systems with HMIs and SCADA platforms such as Ignition
- Support commissioning, testing, and debugging of automated systems
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams on system design and implementation
- Work with data center electrical infrastructure, including PDUs and related equipment
- Maintain and optimize networked control systems using
Ethernet/IP Controls Engineer Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent controls experience)
- Minimum 4 years of industrial controls experience within AEC, manufacturing, or similar environments
- At least 4 years of hands-on PLC programming experience
- Strong expertise with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000
- Proven experience working with large-scale I/O systems (thousands of points)
- Familiarity with HMI development and SCADA systems (Ignition preferred)
- Working knowledge of industrial networking protocols, especially Ethernet/IP
- Experience in data center environments and electrical systems (e.g., PDUs) Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting mission-critical environments such as data centers
- Strong troubleshooting and commissioning background
- Ability to manage multiple aspects of controls projects independently #GRP2
