Job Description

Job Title:
Electrical Designer Job Description We are seeking an Electrical Designer/Drafter to support the development of next-generation construction printing systems. This role will focus on updating electrical and controls systems in support of new hardware configurations for large-scale industrial equipment. This is a hands-on position that will start with electrical design work and transition into on-site installation and build support, working closely with engineers and technicians. Responsibilities + Develop and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system designs for industrial equipment. + Support modifications to electrical systems tied to new hardware components, such as pumps, mixers, and hoses. + Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to implement updated system designs for evolving product configurations. + Assist in building and installing electrical subsystems, including wiring and system integration. + Work alongside technicians during system assembly and testing. + Support troubleshooting and adjustments during build and deployment. Essential Skills + Experience as an Electrical Designer, Electrical Drafter, or similar role. + Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical. + Strong experience with electrical schematics and wiring design, including P&ID/Line diagrams. + Experience with low voltage and high voltage electrical cabinets. + Hands-on experience with wiring, harnessing, and system integration. + Experience supporting prototype builds or evolving hardware design. Additional Skills & Qualifications + PLC experience is highly appreciated. + Experience in industrial equipment, manufacturing, or construction environments. + Experience with industrial construction or heavy equipment, control systems integration, and electrical subsystem installation and commissioning. Work Environment The position is onsite with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. During the end of the project, candidates must be comfortable working in outdoor environments, including summer heat, during installation phases. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00/hr.
