What to Expect The Castings Manufacturing Engineering Group is the part of the Materials Engineering Group responsible for the design, build, launch and handover of state of the art Casting lines and equipment currently used for vehicle and humanoid programs. This team is focusing on achieving the highest efficiency, manufacturing volume and safety while proving performance and documenting every aspect of the project for handover to sustaining. The Manufacturing Controls Dev Engineer, Electrical Design in Castings will lead the design, documentation, and compliance of industrial electrical systems for Tesla's high-volume die casting shop. You'll own the electrical architecture—from control panels to safety circuits—ensuring alignment with U.S. codes (NEC, NFPA 79), lean manufacturing principles, and Industry 4.0 scalability. Your work will directly enable the shop expansion by reducing rework, accelerating commissioning, and ensuring safety compliance.
