Job Title:
Electrical Engineering Manager Job Description The Electrical Engineering Manager leads and develops a team of engineers to deliver innovative, high-quality, and compliant electrical solutions for automated industrial equipment, including pump stations and water treatment systems. This role ensures seamless collaboration between engineering and manufacturing, maintains rigorous engineering standards, drives continuous innovation, and delivers projects on time and within budget while meeting all relevant industry and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of approximately 8-10 electrical and controls engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Oversee the design and development of electrical systems and control panels for automated industrial equipment, pump stations, and water treatment systems. Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including NEC and UL508a, and align with internal engineering standards. Review and approve electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and related documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and constructability. Drive the use of industry-standard CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN to produce efficient and consistent designs. Coordinate closely with manufacturing and other internal teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production within a shared facility. Manage project scope, schedules, and resources to deliver projects on time and within budget. Identify and implement process improvements, design best practices, and standardization across product lines. Provide technical guidance on electrical principles, power distribution, controls, and regulatory requirements to the engineering team. Support communication with internal stakeholders and clients by clearly explaining technical concepts and design decisions. Promote innovation in electrical engineering solutions to support a fast-growing organization with multiple product lines. Support the professional growth of lead electrical engineers and other team members, including those progressing into management roles. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 6+ years of experience in electrical or controls engineering. At least 2+ years of experience in a managerial or leadership role within engineering. High proficiency in industry-standard CAD software, such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN. Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, including power distribution and controls. Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, including NEC and UL508a. Demonstrated experience in electrical design and schematic design for automated industrial equipment. Proven engineering management skills, including team leadership and performance development. Strong organizational and project management abilities to manage multiple projects and priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients. Experience with control panel design for industrial or OEM applications. Experience in controls engineering within OEM or system integrator environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Master's or PhD in an engineering discipline is preferred. Experience with pump stations and/or water treatment systems is preferred. Experience working in OEM or system integrator settings is beneficial. Hands-on experience with automated industrial equipment design and implementation. Familiarity with CAD platforms such as AutoCAD Electrical (preferred) and EPLAN. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to guide and support lead electrical engineers transitioning into management roles. Work Environment This is an onsite, office-based role in a facility where engineering and manufacturing operate in the same location, enabling close collaboration between design and production teams. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with a flexible start time window between 5:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. No travel is required. The environment supports a fast-growing organization with multiple product lines, including pump stations and water treatment systems, and uses industry-standard engineering tools such as AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN for design work. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $160000.00/yr.Benefits Include:
