Typical responsibilities for an entry-level electrical engineer include: Work with maintenance and production to develop and implement new or improved chemical manufacturing processes Assist with troubleshooting, gathering and analyzing data Analyze, develop and recommend design changes to meet production requirements Justify, specify, obtain approval, order and install processes and equipment Evaluate materials and/or metallurgy for long-term operability of equipment Update P&IDs of plant processes with manufacturing equipment Support plant and Operational and Maintenance Excellence goals, including continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing initiatives Serve as engineering representative on small capital projects Work with equipment suppliers and other vendors and contractors to ensure project goals are met Participate in plant shutdowns/outages Maintain effective communication and coordination with area supervisors, production operators and maintenance technicians Participate in and/or lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) Assist in developing policies, procedures and standards, including preventative maintenance Participate in safety meetings, training activities and following established safety procedures and practices Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree• in Electrical Engineering; must be completed by May 2026. Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (documentation required). Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations. Prior Olin experience in a related role. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills - verbal and written. Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) What's in it for you?
