Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Reliability Specialist to ensure the long-term performance and safety of electrical and instrumentation systems. In this role, you will apply your expertise in electrical engineering and reliability methodologies to improve system reliability and performance. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical safety practices, codes, and standards, including those related to hazardous locations and Process Safety Management (PSM). You will partner with maintenance and operations teams to implement long-term reliability improvements.
Responsibilities:
Analyze maintenance and performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Provide technical expertise for the reliability, maintenance, and performance of plant electrical and instrumentation systems. Oversee the safe operation of electrical distribution systems, ensuring compliance withNEC, NFPA
70E, and facility electrical safety procedures. Lead Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFAs) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Develop and review specifications for electrical components, instrumentation, and control systems to improve system performance. Support capital projects through design input and technical review. Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and internal policies. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of electrical and/or reliability engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proven background in the design, specification, installation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems. Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), including requirements for hazardous locations. Ability to perform and document Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA). Preferred Skills 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as SAP. Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher. Advanced knowledge of data analysis, failure analysis techniques, and reliability engineering best practices. Proficiency in condition-based maintenance technologies, such as infrared thermography and ultrasonics.Similar remote jobs
