Job Description

About the Role As an Industrial Electrical Reliability Specialist, you will serve as a technical authority for the optimization and safety of critical power distribution and instrumentation infrastructure. You will drive operational excellence by applying advanced reliability engineering principles to minimize downtime and enhance the performance of complex industrial systems. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of proactive maintenance strategies, including predictive and condition-based monitoring, to maximize equipment uptime. Facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations to identify systemic issues and implement permanent corrective solutions. Ensure all electrical and instrumentation systems strictly adhere to
NEC, NFPA
70E, and hazardous location safety standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical oversight for capital projects, equipment commissioning, and system upgrades. Analyze performance metrics and failure trends to provide actionable insights for long-term asset health and reliability improvements. Support Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance through active participation in Management of Change (MOC) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) processes. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in electrical reliability or maintenance within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in power distribution systems and instrumentation troubleshooting. Strong working knowledge of NEC codes and hazardous area classification requirements. Proven ability to lead technical investigations and document findings for RCFA. Preferred Skills Professional certification such as CMRP or Six Sigma Green Belt. Advanced proficiency with CMMS platforms like SAP for maintenance planning. Deep understanding of reliability frameworks including FMEA, MTBF, and OEE optimization. Experience with condition-based monitoring tools such as infrared thermography and ultrasonic analysis.
