Job Description

We're seeking an Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to be an important part of our Houston, Texas team! Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Leads electrical design activities Supports project managers in developing scope, schedule, and meeting client expectations Accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks Effectively recognizes and communicates scope and design changes Produces single-line diagrams, installation details, electric room layouts, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting designs, power plans, breaker coordination studies, and Arc Flash / Short-Circuit Current studies Provides local, on-site field investigations and construction reviews LI-AC2 Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Professional Engineer License (PE) Minimum 8 years of professional eexperience in Electrical Engineering (power) Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Knowledge and application of other NFPA codes and industry standards Strong working knowledge of Revit Ability to lead design and mentor junior engineers Familiarity of design and construction specifications You will not now or in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa (examples: H-1B, L-1B, or other temporary visa status like OPT or F-1) to work for Jacobs in the U.S. Ideally, you'll also have: Working knowledge of electrical power analysis software such as SKM or ETAP Water, Commercial, higher education, and federal experience Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
