Overview Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kick-start your career in the electrical industry! This paid apprenticeship offers a hands-on learning experience where you'll develop essential skills in electrical systems, schematics, and facilities maintenance. Under the guidance of experienced electricians, you'll gain practical knowledge in residential and commercial electrical work, including wiring, troubleshooting, and using industry-standard tools like ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Responsibilities Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and manufacturing facilities Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to support project execution Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues accurately Support wiring tasks, including conduit bending, cable management, and connections in accordance with safety standards Participate in facilities maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance Collaborate with supervising electricians on complex projects involving Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and mechanical systems Contribute to welding tasks when required for structural or equipment support Maintain detailed records of work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Experience Previous electrical experience or technical training related to electrical systems is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical knowledge beneficial for understanding system layouts Basic understanding of facilities maintenance practices within manufacturing or industrial environments Experience with customer service or team collaboration enhances communication skills on-site Supervising experience or leadership roles are advantageous for future growth opportunities Competency in using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices required for troubleshooting tasks Ability to communicate effectively in English to follow instructions clearly and ensure safety compliance Embark on a rewarding career path where your skills grow daily!
