  • Full-time Senior Electrical Engineer Experience 6+ years minimum or related experience Responsibilities Adhere to company core values and standards.
Participate in project and client meetings. Lead technical quality assurance reviews for major projects. Manage and lead electrical engineers, ensuring balanced workload and utilization across projects. Coordinate with teams for cross-office project staffing. Ensure all discipline standards are met and coordinate with other disciplines. Maintain morale, culture, and professional growth of office staff. Design electrical systems for diverse markets including mission critical and data centers. Perform site surveys, field verification, and documentation of existing systems. Coordinate and communicate electrical systems with other departments and disciplines. Utilize CAD/Revit for design production. Communicate with equipment vendors for equipment selection. Coordinate development of drawings with designers, production teams, and engineers. Provide mentorship to designers and engineers. Prepare and document project specifications. Develop design concepts. Produce drawings consistent with client requirements and standards. Identify potential project issues quickly and communicate with project leadership. Research design options and document findings. Select, schedule, and specify equipment based on project requirements and available technologies. Take responsible charge for projects within discipline. Travel to project sites and meetings as required. Collaborate with Engineer of Record during design phases. Identify and communicate design roadblocks to project leadership. Perform quality control reviews of contract documents including drawings and specifications. Construction Administration Responsibilities Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Perform site visits. Document and publish observation reports and punch list items. Coordinate building service with utility providers. Electrical-Specific Responsibilities Perform energy code compliance calculations. Review applicable code requirements related to design. Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communication, and control systems. Determine electrical load requirements and develop efficient distribution layouts. Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations. Perform electrical calculations including load analysis, voltage drop calculations, and short-circuit analysis. Prepare detailed specifications, drawings, and supporting documentation. Assist in facility diligence, sustainability analyses, and feasibility reporting. Provide engineering assessments regarding equipment quality and life expectancy. Coordinate designs with internal and external disciplines including architectural, structural, and equipment suppliers. Conduct job site observations and develop reports of findings. Interact with vendors, regulatory agencies, and contractors. Document basis of design requirements for projects. Skills Demonstrated aptitude for managing project workloads. Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam. Expert knowledge of equipment selection software. Strong understanding of industry-standard and local codes.
