Job Description

Overview Continental Electronics Corporation is a leading provider of RF technologies and innovative solutions with 80 years of proven performance. CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories. Continental Electronics is seeking Electrical and Computer Engineering students interested in Intern and/or Co-Op opportunities. The Intern/Co-Op will have the opportunity to contribute to many facets of the development of ultrahigh-power RF transmitter systems. The experience will touch system design, system assembly, system test, and all things in between. If you have a desire to work on simulations, schematics, software or firmware, or even grab a wrench to help troubleshoot a transmitter system, this experience is for you. Responsibilities Participates in project teams and activities related to the development of new product Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business Qualifications Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar major Basic EE circuits and systems and CS courses completed Flexible mindset and willingness to contribute where business need is required Desire to learn and be part of a dynamic, fast-paced work environment US person (citizen or green card holder) Desired Qualifications Some knowledge of analog, high-speed digital circuit, and RF design Some knowledge of PCB design and layout Some knowledge of Matlab, Spice or other circuit simulation software Hands-on analysis using Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, etc. in a lab environment Some knowledge of mechanical layout software such as Inventor and AutoCAD Some knowledge of developing and troubleshooting complex software systems that run in mixed environments including Linux, Unix and/or Windows on desktop, server, tablet, and mobile systems Some knowledge of RF fundamentals such as impedance matching, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth and stability Some knowledge of FPGA-based real-time DSP implementation: decimation/interpolation filters, fractional delay filters, asynchronous sample rate conversion, NCO, Hilbert transforms, FFT and waveform generation Please review our benefits here: Life at OSI Pay may range from $20.00 to $29.00 hourly. The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP). OSI also offers comprehensive benefits including various options for health plans, access to 401(k) retirement plan, health savings account, disability insurance, life insurance, AD&D insurance, leave of absence programs and an array of voluntary benefits.
