• $120,000 per annum Kinekta is partnering with a well-funded, growth-stage Battery Storage IPP seeking a Project Engineer to join the team.

Responsibilities Lead engineering execution of utility-scale projects from conceptual design through operational readiness, ensuring technical integrity and alignment with project objectives. Serve as the technical liaison across internal teams and external partners (utilities, EPCs, OEMs), resolving complex engineering challenges and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. Oversee design, integration, and implementation of electrical, mechanical, EMS, and SCADA systems, reviewing and approving designs, performance models, and vendor deliverables. Contribute to procurement and contract discussions, assessing technical impacts on project economics and supporting scalable processes, templates, and engineering tools. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 1 to 3 years of utility-scale renewable or BESS project engineering experience. Strong expertise in power systems, controls, SCADA, EMS, and renewable infrastructure engineering. BESS and ERCOT experience preferred, but not a requirement.
