Here, ownership isn't just a benefit, it's how we operate every day. Position Overview We are seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to support testing of electrical power systems and components. Experience in creating/executing test plans and procedures is required. The initial focus of this role is the qualification of an energy storage system in preparation for production. This process will also include design/development of supporting test equipment/fixtures. Candidates that have attention to detail and organizational skills are highly desirable. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct qualification testing on electrical power systems and components
  • Create and build custom test fixtures, interfaces, and hardware setups to support repeatable and efficient testing
  • Create and execute detailed test procedures for product qualification and acceptance
  • Conduct test data analysis and compile test reports that support conclusions
  • Evaluate test failures and identify root causes; drive corrective actions with design teams
  • Prepare supporting technical documentation: drawings, schematics, work instructions, reports, presentations etc.
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to define test requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Document engineering changes to maintain design configuration traceability
  • Support production testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of test processes and equipment
  • Develop Python-based test scripts and automation frameworks for data acquisition, control, and reporting
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and reporting Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, Master's preferred
  • 3+ years of professional experience is desired although various alternative means of experience that demonstrate acquired skills will be considered
  • Experience creating/executing test plans and procedures for electrical systems
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with power system test equipment and automated control software (Python, Lab
VIEW, MATLAB, C
#, or similar)
  • Familiarity with embedded control system design (MCU IDEs, C/C++, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of circuit design, PCB layout, and electronic control systems
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., Altium, KiCad, or similar)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense
  • Experience in preparing technical documentation for military weapon systems
