Job Description
Description CPT is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development, evaluation, and sustainment programs in a collaborative, mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities Support electrical systems requirements management and electrical engineering design activities for Gun Weapon System components. Assist with electrical design, integration, and test evaluation activities under the direction of senior engineers. Utilize electrical systems engineering design software tools to support design and analysis tasks. Participate in design reviews and technical working groups supporting E30 electrical systems efforts. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and electrical engineering specifications. Support data collection and analysis during electrical systems testing and evaluation. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline. 0-2 years of professional or academic experience in electrical engineering design or test activities. Familiarity with electrical engineering design software (e.g., MATLAB, OrCAD, or similar). Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical specifications. Desired Skills & Experience Secret clearance (strongly desired); must be eligible to obtain. Academic or internship experience in defense electronics, naval systems, or weapons systems. Familiarity with MIL-STD electrical design standards. Experience with embedded systems, power systems, or control systems coursework or projects.
