  • Full-time Company Description Rogue Signal Processing was founded to rapidly field prototype Quick Reaction Capabilities to the warfighter.
Together with our partners, we maximize our team's effectiveness to deliver the full cycle of EW system engineering, production, and maintenance tasks. We're equipped to field everything from custom prototypes to high-rate production variants of complex systems. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Digital Signal Processing Engineer with an emphasis in Satellite Communications, located in Sterling, VA. The
DSP/SATCOM
Engineer will be responsible for prototyping, designing, implementing, testing, and fielding communication systems to be used at the tactical edge.
Other duties include:
Design, develop, test, and integrate DSP algorithms that process SATCOM data, as well as generate waveforms that enable ensured communications with challenged link budgets, into containerized computing architectures Design, develop, test, and integrate antenna and radio command and control schemas into containerized computing architectures Prototype and document messaging and file flows through COTS firewalls and theater-wide IA architectures Travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations to field and deliver implemented systems Creating testing/validation procedures, built-in-test capabilities, and Health and Status functions Minimum Requirements
  • Top Secret SCI Clearance with SSBI Required
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering disciplines or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by management
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and non-traditional methods of satellite communications and related technologies, modern Digital Signal Processing fundamentals, modulation schemes, link budget calculations, and CONOPs
  • Strong knowledge of Linux computing environments, Dockerized and virtual computing environments, and command and control schemas for hardware and peripheral devices
  • At least ten years of experience with industry-standard coding languages including C/C++, Python, Bash, and X-MIDAS
  • Able to work independently with minimal instruction/supervision and effectively plan, organize and execute their own activities
