Job Title:
Senior Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a wide range of projects and participate in all aspects of the product lifecycle, including requirements development, preliminary design, critical design, prototype, test, and production. This role offers the opportunity to tackle challenging technical problems, drive new feature designs, improve product performance, and contribute to the regular delivery of space-bound hardware. Responsibilities Participate in the entire product lifecycle, from requirements development to production. Solve challenging technical problems and drive new feature designs. Improve product performance and participate in research and development. Contribute to the regular delivery of space-bound hardware. Gradually take on more autonomy and ownership, with opportunities for career growth. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in PCB design using Cadence or Altium. Experience in designing test equipment, including developing and automating test scripts using MATLAB, C/C++, or Python. 5+ years of electrical/electronics engineering experience. Experience in design and debugging of analog, digital, or power electronics. Competence in circuit analysis including WCCA, component stress, FMEA/FMECA, reliability analysis, and circuit simulation. Effective documentation skills for engineering drawings, procedures, specifications, and technical reports. Collaboration skills with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and program managers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with high-reliability, fault-tolerant, radiation tolerance, and/or safety-critical systems. Knowledge of EEE parts quality requirements. Experience in designing products for harsh environments.
Supplier management skills:
parts procurement, PCB fabrication, and assembly service. Experience with environmental testing processes and equipment. Design for manufacturing and testing experience. Familiarity with quality management systems like
ISO-9001, AS9100.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sterling, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
