Control Engineer (SCADA / Power Systems / Automation)

Role:
We're seeking a Control Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of advanced control systems across utility, infrastructure, and industrial environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects involving SCADA, grid management systems, and automation technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, working cross-functionally, and contributing to systems that power and protect critical infrastructure.
What You'll Do:
Design and develop control system solutions, including PLCs, RTUs, HMI, and SCADA platforms Support system architecture, requirements analysis, and technical documentation Lead or contribute to programming, configuration, and troubleshooting efforts Develop and execute testing and commissioning procedures (factory and field) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated system solutions Support upgrades, maintenance, and optimization of existing systems Assist with cost estimates, proposals, and technical reviews Mentor junior engineers and coordinate technical tasks when needed What We're Looking For Experience in control systems engineering within utilities, infrastructure, or industrial environments Hands-on experience with SCADA, EMS, ADMS, DERMS, or similar real-time systems Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, etc.) Exposure to one or more platforms such as Siemens, GE, ABB, Schneider, or similar Strong understanding of electrical/control schematics and system integration Ability to troubleshoot, test, and commission control systems Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred but not required) Typically 5+ years of relevant experience (we welcome candidates with different backgrounds who can demonstrate comparable skills) Why Consider This Opportunity Work on high-impact, mission-critical infrastructure projects Collaborative environment with strong technical mentorship Exposure to cutting-edge technologies in power systems, automation, and cybersecurity Opportunities for growth into technical leadership or architecture roles If interested, please send resume to: Pete Bolog peteb@peoplesolutions.cc
