Focusing on commercial and military aircrafts, NAT provides first class services in design, engineering, quality, certification, and manufacturing for a variety of Blue Chip customers. The Level 2 Electrical Engineer has the following scope of work: Support the design, development and substantiation of the installation of electrical components and systems into retrofit aircraft applications. Communicating with customers and fellow team members. Presenting technical content to a wide audience and provide guidance and input to other team members as well as team members from other disciplines. Break down a SOW into smaller work packages and allocate work packages to other engineers. Prepare engineering product using applicable computer tools and programs maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety in product designs. Ensure that NAT's drawings and documents meet the standards established by the NAT quality system, customer requirements, and the applicable certification authority. Grow in experience by accepting tasks in multiple disciplines of the aerospace industry. This would consist of structures, interiors, and systems functions. Develop peer review check packages for generated engineering drawings. Ensure the design content conforms to the company quality system procedures as documented, the customer statement of work, along with applicable certification requirements. Work with ODA UM's and EASA CVE's to ensure designs are compliant to airworthiness requirements. Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines within the company to accomplish tasks Responsible to perform the activities listed in two (2) of the following three (3) electrical disciplines: System Design Engineering Discipline
- Research existing aircraft systems using OEM/vendor data.
- Integrate and modify systems while maintaining functionality.
- Create wiring diagrams and system schematics in AutoCAD.
- Define electrical interfaces for interior installations.
- Apply Boeing SWPM / Airbus ESPM standards and electrical principles.
- Develop wire kits (cable assemblies) with proper materials and specifications. Installation Engineering Discipline
- Research aircraft data and vendor documentation.
- Develop wire routing and installation drawings in AutoCAD.
- Ensure compliance with EWIS standards and wiring practices (SWPM/ESPM).
- Define routing, clamping, and effectivity requirements.
- Create parts documentation and Engineering Orders to support installation. Substantiation Engineering Discipline
- Perform electrical load, separation, and EWIS analyses.
- Develop EMI and functional test plans.
- Conduct system safety and fault hazard assessments.

Candidate skills & requirements Knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience) with 2-5+ years in aerospace.
- Broad technical experience in aerospace applications.
- Ability to mentor and support junior engineers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Skills/Abilities:
Able to mentor less experienced engineering personnel in field of expertise Minimal coordination with customers, suppliers, and interdepartmental personnel required Drawing management Troubleshooting/problem solving Ability to work independently or within a team Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Understanding of customer's expectations Ability to prioritize, multi-task effectively, and work under pressure Superior attention to detail
