Job Description
Performs assigned basic tasks, including routine monitoring and visual inspection of critical facility equipment. Uses the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track equipment assets and complete maintenance work orders. Assists with emergency monitoring and response under supervision, following established emergency operating procedures (EOPs). Performs various types of maintenance and conducts basic troubleshooting, with support for complex issues as needed. Escorts third-party contractors and vendors on site in accordance with established levels of risk (LOR) procedures. Prepares and submits required reports and develops an understanding of method statements of work (MSOW). Follows and ensures compliance with all safety and security requirements. Pursuing or recently completed a degree or technical program in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Facilities Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, with a demonstrated interest in mission‑critical infrastructure, data center operations, or facilities engineering Safety focus and attention to detail, with the ability to follow strict procedures (including PPE), identify and report abnormal conditions, and demonstrate a growth mindset with eagerness to learn and accept feedback Basic proficiency with computer systems and digital tools, and the ability to work effectively in a hands‑on, team‑based operational environment These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Coursework, labs, or hands‑on exposure to electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, generators, UPS, or building automation systems Prior internship, co‑op, lab, or work experience in facilities, utilities, manufacturing, construction, or technical operations Familiarity with preventive maintenance concepts, standard operating procedures, or technical checklists Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work alongside technicians, engineers, and cross‑functional partners Interest in pursuing a long‑term career in Critical Environments or Data Center Operations, including continued technical qualification and development
