Job Description Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer (aka Test Director) to support the testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical power systems for aircraft applications. This role will be responsible for laboratory-based test execution, technical analysis, and documentation in support of system development, integration, and certification activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering, hands-on experience with electrical power systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines in a dynamic, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute tests for electrical power systems and components used in aircraft applications in accordance with aerospace standards and safety requirements. Perform analysis and troubleshooting of aircraft electrical power systems, including generation, distribution, and power management functions. Operate and interpret data from laboratory equipment, such as oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, and power system monitoring tools, to assess system performance and identify anomalies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration and validation of electrical power solutions. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, reports, and compliance records, to support verification, certification, and quality assurance activities. Ensure adherence to safety procedures, laboratory standards, and regulatory requirements throughout all phases of testing and development. Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for electrical power system issues. Contribute to test readiness, test execution, and post-test evaluation activities as required. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. 1+ years of experience in electrical power systems. Knowledge of electrical power generation, distribution, and control principles. Experience using diagnostic and analysis tools, including: Oscilloscope Perception software Bus analyzer Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience supporting aerospace or aircraft electrical power systems. Familiarity with laboratory test environments and test documentation practices. Experience working in a regulated environment with certification or compliance requirements.
