As a Controls Engineer at EVCO Plastics, you will engage in a wide array of responsibilities on a daily basis. Expect to design, implement, and troubleshoot control systems that optimize manufacturing processes. Daily tasks will include programming PLCs, HMI development, and ensuring system compliance with industry standards. A four-year degree in engineering or a related field is essential, complemented by a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in controls engineering or automation. Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and C# is crucial for developing effective control systems. Familiarity with PLCs and HMIs is a must, as is experience with industry-standard software, including SCADA systems and AutoCAD for control system design. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are necessary to identify issues and implement solutions efficiently.
