MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS A CONTROLS ENGINEER
As a Controls Engineer at EVCO Plastics, you will engage in a wide array of responsibilities on a daily basis. Expect to design, implement, and troubleshoot control systems that optimize manufacturing processes. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to assess requirements and develop solutions tailored to specific projects. Daily tasks will include programming PLCs, HMI development, and ensuring system compliance with industry standards. Regularly, you will conduct system testing and validation to ensure reliability and performance. Additionally, you will monitor existing systems and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiencies. Documentation and reporting on system performance will be essential, as you will need to communicate findings and enhancements to management and team members. To excel as a Controls Engineer at EVCO Plastics, candidates should possess a robust skill set that combines technical expertise with practical experience. A four-year degree in engineering or a related field is essential, complemented by a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in controls engineering or automation. Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and C# is crucial for developing effective control systems. Familiarity with PLCs and HMIs is a must, as is experience with industry-standard software, including SCADA systems and AutoCAD for control system design. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are necessary to identify issues and implement solutions efficiently. Additionally, effective communication and teamwork abilities will aid in collaborating with other departments and sharing insights.
