Electrical Engineer Job Description The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for preparing specifications, calculations, drawings, and test plans to support the design of new construction, testing, commissioning, in-field troubleshooting, and operations of the isotope facility. The role involves working closely with electrical inspectors to ensure compliance with electrical systems, with a focus on power distribution and all electrical systems on the process side of the plant. Responsibilities include cable scheduling, conduit routing, and cable tray management. This position requires experience with greenfield projects, building from the ground up, and involves performing electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical, adhering to national electric codes and life safety codes. Responsibilities Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and test plans for the design and commissioning of the isotope facility. Work with electrical inspectors to ensure compliance with electrical systems. Focus on power distribution and electrical systems on the process side of the plant. Manage cable scheduling, conduit routing, and cable trays. Perform electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical. Ensure adherence to national electric codes and life safety codes. Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 7+ years of experience with power distribution and generator systems 7+ years of experience in cable scheduling, conduit routing, and cable trays 7+ years of experience with greenfield projects Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical Knowledge of national electric codes (NEC) Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with power distribution units and power generation Familiarity with cable tray and conduit systems Work Environment This opportunity involves working within a unique company focused on creating medical isotopes used to detect and eliminate cancer and heart disease. The company follows a four-phase plan, starting with neutron testing at their Fitchburg, WI facility, followed by the therapeutics division in Janesville which manufactures radioisotopes for cancer therapies. They are rapidly expanding to support the construction of a new facility for cancer detection radioisotopes production. Additionally, they aim to recycle nuclear waste and ultimately create fusion energy as clean energy. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $172000.00/yr.
