Job Description

Job Overview :
Seeking a Controls Engineer with expertise in designing and programming control systems for custom automation equipment, including integration with Fanuc Robots and proficiency in Allen Bradley.
Requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for control schematics and panel layouts. Experience in programming environments for PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers. Understanding of electrical engineering principles such as industrial power distribution, PLC/HMI hardware and programming, motion control systems, sensors, and industrial I/O devices. Familiarity with UL/NFPA electrical standards and machinery safety standards (OSHA, ANSI/RIA). Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software. Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Siemens controls is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop control systems including specification of PLCs, HMIs, motion controllers, sensors. Create programs for automation system devices; maintain control logic from design through commissioning. Research integration needs with existing/external machines or systems; document power requirements. Develop hardware architecture using AutoCAD Electrical; research/select/order components. Monitor/support assembly processes ensuring compliance; make design/program adjustments as needed. Coordinate with engineers/project managers on technical requirements; resolve issues during build/integration. Review/refine design standards; evaluate new technologies/components for future designs. Maintain accurate design records/documentation; provide hands-on system testing/debugging/troubleshooting.

GRPA Pay:
$52.00 - $63.00 per hour
