Job Description

The PositionThe Staff Electrical Engineer will collaborate with a project team throughout the design and construction lifecycle, developing and adapting electrical plans based on engineering requirements, site conditions, and client needs.

ResponsibilitiesThe hiring company is seeking a self‑motivated, results‑driven engineer who enjoys problem-solving and contributing to a growing renewable energy engineering group.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading electrical design for utility‑scale solar projects from conceptual engineering through final design.

Collaborating with cross‑disciplinary teams to develop:

Equipment layoutsOne-line diagramsCable routing plansCommunications system designGrounding system designEquipment specifications and selectionPerforming electrical system modeling (e.g., using ETAP) to analyze:

Cable ampacityVoltage dropGround potential riseThermal performanceDeveloping detailed electrical engineering reports, including:

Short-circuit studiesLoad-flow analysesArc-flash hazard assessmentsGround grid evaluationsCreating and reviewing PV station models using PVsyst or System Advisor Model.

Preparing and modifying electrical drawings using AutoCAD.Supporting project schedules by completing engineering and design tasks as needed.

Conducting site reviews and performing construction site visits.

Handling additional engineering-related duties as assigned.

RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems, or related discipline.

Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Strong reliability, initiative, and a high sense of responsibility.

Preferred QualificationsPrior engineering experience.

Experience with AutoCAD and ETAP.Working knowledge of key electrical components (PV modules, inverters, transformers, surge arresters, circuit breakers).Familiarity with major electrical standards and codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, UL, NESC).Strong communication skills (written, verbal, email).Ability to maintain clear and detailed engineering records and documentation.
