Controls Engineer HUSCO International, Inc. - 3.3 Waukesha, WI Job Details Full-time Benefits Paid holidays Tuition reimbursement Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Interpreting technical drawings Machine troubleshooting Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Equipment troubleshooting Pneumatic systems Hydraulics Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description As a Controls Engineer, within the Husco Advanced Manufacturing Group (AMG), you will be responsible for the design, development, programming, and implementation of controls systems for large-scale automation projects- primarily focused on custom manufacturing equipment. This role involves working with both existing and emerging technologies while creating reliable, user-friendly interfaces for end users. Success in this position comes from strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity driven mindset - digging into root causes rather than addressing symptoms. We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, can effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects, and brings a high level of attention to detail. What You'll be
Doing:
Design, Develop, Troubleshoot, and Deploy:
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deploy automation controls and electrical controls hardware and software. Work as part of an execution team and assume complete responsibility for system updates or new system control functions from start to finish of the project. Write Code to
Control Automated Equipment:
Architect, develop, test, and deploy, a reusable, modular software solution that involves using a structured software development process with version management.
Support Field Installation:
Support field installation, startup, and debug of systems at Husco and customer sites. Train and communicate automated machine functionality to end users.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience required. Experience with programming automated manufacturing equipment is required. Allen Bradley HMI and PLC Programming experience is most desirable. Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics. Effective problem solving, judgement, and independent thinking skills for troubleshooting, repair, and recognition of acceptable or unacceptable product quality. Ability to travel up to 10%. Authorized to work in the United States.
