Job Description Job Description Join a global engineering team utilizing advanced design tools and techniques to develop state-of-the-art CT systems for leadership medical diagnostic imaging systems. The Engineer is responsible for driving elements of the multi-generational product plan as well as product specific development plans. Essential Responsibilities The successful candidate in this role will support existing CT systems products and new product development programs with component design, equipment design, engineering analysis, and planning/conducting rigorous reliability and verification tests. There will be an emphasis on hands on engineering and component testing. This role requires the interaction with other service, manufacturing, and design engineering teams. Roles and Responsibilities Design electrical and power electronics circuitry for Premium CT Hardware. Design, document and maintain Power Distribution architecture. Strategize electrical / power design architecture for Premium CT Hardware Drive design rigor adhering to our best practices Capture electrical design schematic using an ECAD system Review and approve layout done on the ECAD system Drives and is accountable for operational excellence of assigned designs, projects and rigor, with duties including design, project reviews, feasibility analysis, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, resourcing, initiation, execution and closure Drive the development of prototypes, performance testing and design documentation Develop innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability Identify, select, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade test equipment. Evaluate engineering test plan requests, and determine the best method/approach to achieve results Create, review, and execute development and reliability planning, testing, and analysis activities, and when needed coordinate resources and equipment needed to run engineering tests Proactively resolve and escalate issues across functions regarding issues found during engineering development and tests. Clearly communicates status, issues, risks, and plans to management…especially "bad" news. Required Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering and 7 years of industry electrical engineering experience.
