Electrical Designer Job Description We are seeking an Electrical Designer with 2-4 years of experience in electrical design and drafting. The role requires expertise in AutoCAD, while experience with Revit and BIM is advantageous. The candidate should have strong skills in energy compliance documentation, photometric analysis, and possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage design is essential. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including Healthcare (OSHPD), K-12 (DSA), Higher Education, Civic and Commercial, Recreation, and Multi-Family Residential. Responsibilities Design and draft electrical systems using AutoCAD and optionally Revit. Prepare energy compliance documentation and conduct photometric analysis. Participate in power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage design projects. Engage in projects across various sectors such as Healthcare, K-12, Higher Education, Civic and Commercial, Recreation, and Multi-Family Residential. Manage multiple projects and ensure deadlines are met. Essential Skills 2-4 years of experience in electrical design and drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and BIM is a plus. Experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage design. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with energy compliance software. Knowledge of photometric analysis. Familiarity with MEP, HVAC, and Plumbing systems. Proficiency in Bluebeam. Ability to work well in a team environment. Self-motivated and self-directed with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Work Environment The company offers a large, modern office located in Rancho Cordova, with additional support from an office in Long Beach. The workspace features an open pit design with tall, walled cubicles, standing desks, and dual monitors, creating a quiet and corporate consulting atmosphere. Principals have offices along the outside walls of the pit. The facility includes an on-site gym and promotes work-life balance with a flexible work schedule. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
