Bim Coordinator

BIM Designer (All Experience Levels Welcome) Early schedule. Strong team. Real projects. A leading electrical contractor in the suburbs of Chicago is growing and looking to add a BIM Designer to their team. If you enjoy coordinating electrical systems, working in Revit, and collaborating with field and project teams to bring designs to life, this is a great opportunity to join a respected contractor doing meaningful work. What You'll Be Doing Produce and review 2D and 3D electrical drawings for field installation and trade coordination Create accurate 3D models of electrical systems for clash detection and constructability Read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings Participate in coordination meetings to resolve clashes while maintaining budget, constructability, and NEC code compliance Coordinate with engineers of record and project management to resolve design challenges Produce shop drawings, underground cross‑sections, conduit and cable details, and installation documentation Support fabrication and construction teams with clear, buildable drawings Travel to project sites as needed to support coordination and field realities What We're Looking For High School diploma or equivalent (required) 1+ year of experience, with flexibility across experience levels Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Navisworks Understanding of 3D coordination workflows Electrical knowledge strongly preferred (but not required) Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, or similar collaboration platforms is a plus Ability to understand drawings, specifications, and how designs translate to the field Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Why This Role Stands Out Excellent schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM All experience levels considered - grow into the role or step in as a leader Work for a well‑established electrical contractor with strong field integration Hands‑on involvement with real construction projects Supportive, team‑oriented environment with long‑term opportunity This role is ideal for BIM professionals who value early workdays, collaboration with field teams, and clear paths for growth —without sacrificing stability or project quality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr.
