About Us ATB Controls provides industrial automation and controls engineering services for manufacturing and industrial customers throughout North America. Position Overview ATB Controls is seeking a Controls Engineer who thrives in the field and enjoys solving real-world problems. This position is ideal for someone who wants to be involved in commissioning, troubleshooting, startups, and customer interaction—not just programming from behind a desk. This is a travel-intensive role (70-80%+ travel) supporting customer projects throughout the United States and North America. Responsibilities Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs Commission and troubleshoot automated systems at customer facilities Perform machine startups and production support Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and communications issues Work directly with customers, electricians, technicians, and project teams Create and maintain documentation Verify system functionality before project completion Support existing customer systems and upgrades Required Qualifications Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in customer facilities Willingness to travel 70%+ as required Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout North America Excellent communication skills Preferred Qualifications Siemens PLC experience Industrial networking experience (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, etc.) Servo and VFD experience Commissioning and startup experience Manufacturing or material handling experience Ability to communicate in Spanish How We Work Own the Result We take responsibility for the final result—no excuses. Pay:
$100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
