Role:
As a CBRE Project Designer, you will provide clear, accurate, and concise design documentation for installation of Building Management Control Systems, typically focused on HVAC controls, based on project specifications, mechanical drawings, and/or sales documentation.
What You'll Do:
Create riser diagrams, flow diagrams, material lists, sequence of operations, panel layouts, termination details and equipment schedules. Create cable pull drawings. Create submittals and O& M manuals. Perform basic electrical calculations to ensure system operation and safety. Perform sizing calculations for control valves and dampers. Select components based on availability, project estimate, job requirements, regulatory compliance and engineering standards. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with
CBRE RISE
values. Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
What You'll Need:
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design Technology or related field. Bachelor's Degree in HVAC/R or related field preferred. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to read and understand HVAC/R and process mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. Knowledge of general computer applications. Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Applications, Google Drive, Email, Team, Bluebeam experience is a plus.
Preferred:
Well versed with HVAC application engineering, design, sequences of operation for electrical circuits and schematics. Must have working knowledge of standard trade industry practices. Knowledge of computer drafting applications with a thorough understanding of basic drawing, CAD layout and concepts. Microsoft Visio and/or AutoCAD-LT (2D drawings) experience is a plus.
