Valiant TMS, a global industry leader, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior PLC Programmer to join our Body-in-White team in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In this role, you will work alongside a skilled group of professionals to design, program, and optimize control systems that drive cutting-edge manufacturing solutions. Collaborate Across Disciplines:
Work closely with mechanical and controls engineering experts, as well as skilled trades professionals, throughout the programming, tryout, and installation phases of projects.
PLC Programming and Debugging:
Execute PLC logic and programming tasks during the build and debug stages at our facilities and at customer sites during installation and launch phases.
Enhance Control Systems:
Introduce programming enhancements to controls and logic systems based on customer changes or evolving manufacturing requirements.
Smart Device Integration:
Configure and set up smart devices such as cameras, nut runners, and drives, integrating them into active projects.
Data Management:
Collect data from machines according to specific customer requirements.
System Validation:
Identify and resolve system issues, conduct tryouts, and validate I/O signals and interference zones.
Documentation:
Thoroughly document all control logic changes in collaboration with the engineering team.
End-User Training:
Train PLC end-users at customer locations, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
Travel Support:
Travel locally and internationally to customer sites to provide on-site assistance, ensuring successful project execution. What we are looking for
Experience:
5+ years of experience in designing, installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic automated equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Education:
Completed College or university program in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or Robotic Studies.
Flexibility:
Ability to adapt work hours to accommodate customer production timelines when necessary.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with various software platforms, including Rockwell, Siemens, and Omron and familiarity with integrating smart devices into automated systems.
Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.

Flexibility to travel to customer sites, including international locations.
