Summary:
Autonomous Controls & Engineering Systems (ACES) is looking for an experienced Automation and Controls Engineer to join our exceptional team. In this position, you will be responsible for controls system hardware/software design, programming, integration, startup and debug with production support. You will be required to troubleshoot, root cause and correct production line controls issues in body shop or general assembly.
Essential Functions:
Follow all safety requirements. Program PLC. Develop and design HMI's. Troubleshoot hardware/software issues. Follow strict guidelines for standards. Strong ability to update documentation including checklists and as-built drawings. Production support. Assist and train plant personnel.
Qualifications:
Must have working knowledge of, and experience dealing with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems. Ability to work effectively independent or as a member of a team. Strong analytical ability. Strong decision making and problem solving skills. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Ability to manipulate Excel, word and PowerPoint applications as needed to perform additional job duties. Travel as necessary. Overtime as required. The ability to work a flexible work schedule for production support on all shifts.
Skills:
Studio 5000 Logix Designer (required) Allen Bradley PLC Guardlogix safety controller (required) Siemens HMI TIA portal software Strong understanding of Fanuc robot PLC interface. Working experience with GCCS-2 and GCCH-1 and other GM standards Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
