Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PLC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining programmable logic controllers (PLCs) that automate and optimize manufacturing processes. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration of robotics, vision inspection systems, and distributed control systems to enhance operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology, including Fanuc robots and AutoCAD schematics, in a fast-paced environment committed to lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems to support manufacturing operations, ensuring reliable performance of automated equipment. Integrate robotics systems such as Fanuc robots and vision inspection systems into existing production lines for enhanced precision and productivity. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to facilitate accurate system installation and maintenance. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and technicians to design tooling, fixtures, and machining processes using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Conduct root cause analysis on system failures or inefficiencies to implement corrective actions promptly. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing automation workflows and reducing waste through effective programming solutions. Perform routine maintenance, updates, and documentation of control systems in compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. Requirements Proven experience programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of robotics programming, particularly with Fanuc or similar robotic systems. Familiarity with schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical wiring diagrams. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, machining, and mechanical assembly processes. Experience working with vision inspection systems and distributed control systems (DCS). Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for designing schematics and mechanical components. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively under pressure while maintaining safety standards. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement efforts. $67,115.65 - $80,827.45 per year
