Electrical Designer Caliberr Staffing Rochester, MI Job Details $52.25 - $71.50 an hour Qualifications Technical documentation ISO standards Equipment troubleshooting Project management Technical writing NFPA standards Cross-functional collaboration Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Role Summary We are seeking an Electrical Designer to lead the creation of electrical equipment designs while providing essential troubleshooting support. Primary Duties Translate client requirements into comprehensive control and network schematics. Develop and refine electrical and pneumatic designs to help ensure project goals are met efficiently. Investigate and implement innovative control engineering strategies. Contribute to safety by participating in thorough Risk Assessments. Draft detailed Sequences of Operations to guide system functionality. Manage project costs by developing accurate Bills of Materials. Ensure design integrity through rigorous verification and validation processes. Generate necessary system documentation to support project completion. Deliver high-quality technical support to our customers. Perform other tasks as directed by the management team. Background and Requirements We welcome applicants who possess a blend of education and professional background that demonstrates the ability to excel in this role. While not mandatory, a Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering is highly valued. Five years of relevant field experience or an equivalent professional background. Strong technical proficiency in documentation and troubleshooting. Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects to meet deadlines. Working knowledge of ISO, NFPA, and CSA regulatory standards. Collaborative mindset for success within a diverse, multi-disciplinary team. Commitment to undergoing training in EPlan, AutoCAD Electrical, and Sistema. Professional Competencies The successful candidate will demonstrate sharp analytical skills and a talent for solving complex technical challenges, specifically through: Proven design experience utilizing AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPlan.
