Kurita's corporate philosophy is to study the properties of water, master them and create an environment in which nature and humanity are in harmony The Electrical BIM Designer position's accountability includes the 3D model design of electrical equipment for the skids manufactured by Kurita America. This position requires using BIM software to create 3D models of electrical equipment.

Responsibilities Maintain a safe work environment. Develop models of panels, electrical conduits, cable trays and instruments based on the piping skid model. Develop family files for panels, electrical conduits, cable trays, and instruments as needed. Review of Customer System Specifications and complete Master Project List. Work within a budget. Performance of other duties assigned. Perform clash detection and coordinate resolutions. Update and manage model data, including attribute information. Collaborate with design and production teams for data integration. Ensure compliance with BIM standards and modeling guidelines. Support quantity take-off and shop drawing preparation. Qualifications Ability to work on multiple projects at once. Associate's Degree in Controls/Electrical Engineering, Bachelor's degree a plus. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings such as single line diagram, electrical architecture, panel drawing. Intimately familiar with UL and NEC. Ability to use AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks. 5 - 10 years experience in panel design preferred. Experience in water treatment facility design preferred Physical and Mental requirements: Being able to do the following in a safe and effective manner: Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction. Standing and walking for sustained periods of time. Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time. Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force. Sometimes working in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
