Shift:

5:15pm-5:15am 2 on 2 off 1 on 2 off rotating with weekend work on occasion The Controls Engineer provides technical expertise in programming, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment to ensure safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This role supports production through PLC/robot programming, equipment upgrades, and technical training while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs, robotic systems, and automated assembly equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and control system issues
• Support equipment upgrades, new installations, and programming changes
• Improve cycle times, equipment performance, and first-time quality
• Ensure safety systems and devices function properly
• Document changes, issues, and solutions to support continuous improvement
• Train and support production, maintenance, and skilled trades personnel
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams Required Skills & Qualifications
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong PLC programming experience (ladder logic, troubleshooting, documentation)
• Robot programming and interfacing experience
• Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems and NEC standards
• Knowledge of automated manufacturing, welding, stamping, and assembly processes
• Ability to troubleshoot complex control and programming failures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficient computer and technical documentation skills
• Strong safety mindset and commitment to quality #GRP2
