About Us New Way Electric is a growing electrical contractor focused on delivering high-quality electrical construction, design-build, and coordination services. We work on commercial, industrial, and specialty projects and are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Electrical Designer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with Revit experience who is eager to develop skills in electrical design, BIM coordination, and construction documentation. Position Summary The Entry-Level Electrical Designer will assist with the development of electrical drawings, Revit models, construction documents, and coordination layouts under the direction of senior designers, project managers, and field leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, comfortable working in Revit, and interested in building a long-term career in electrical design and construction. Key Responsibilities Assist in creating and updating electrical drawings using Autodesk Revit Support layout of electrical systems, including lighting, power, low-voltage, feeders, panels, devices, and equipment Help prepare construction documents, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings Work with project managers, foremen, and senior designers to incorporate field input into drawings. Review architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans for coordination Assist with clash coordination and model updates Maintain organized project files and drawing revisions Help ensure drawings comply with company standards, project requirements, and applicable codes Participate in internal design and coordination meetings Learn electrical design principles, code requirements, and construction workflows Qualifications Entry-level to 2 years of electrical design or drafting experience preferred Proficiency in Autodesk Revit required AutoCAD experience is a plus Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is a plus Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a team environment with designers, project managers, and field personnel Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
