Full-Time Position Summary Our valued client is seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician with 1-5 years of experience in the electrical contracting industry to support the design and coordination of commercial and industrial electrical systems. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate electrical drawings, assist project managers and estimators, and coordinate with field teams to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare and revise electrical construction drawings using AutoCAD. Develop layouts for power, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, and electrical distribution systems. Coordinate drawings with architectural, mechanical, and plumbing plans. Produce shop drawings, as-builts, panel schedules, and conduit layouts. Assist project managers and estimators with drawing updates and documentation. Review project specifications, blueprints, and submittals. Maintain organized drawing files and document control procedures. Communicate with field electricians and supervisors regarding design changes and installation requirements. Ensure drawings comply with NEC codes, local regulations, and company standards. Qualifications 1-5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience in electrical construction or electrical engineering environments. Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit or BIM coordination is required. Knowledge of electrical systems, symbols, and construction practices. Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience preferred. Preferred Skills Experience with commercial TI, multifamily, industrial, or ground-up construction projects. Understanding of conduit routing and panel schedules. Experience coordinating with field teams and subcontractors. Bluebeam, Navisworks, or BIM 360 experience is a plus.
