Electrical BIM Designer Job Description The Electrical BIM Designer supports complex construction projects through the creation, maintenance, and coordination of detailed 3D models. This position requires proficiency in Revit and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals. The role is responsible for ensuring model accuracy, supporting BIM processes, and aiding field operations through remote coordination. Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate 3D models using Revit, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure consistency and coordination across disciplines. Use clash detection software to identify and resolve conflicts between building systems. Coordinate closely with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to ensure integrated, clash-free designs. Provide remote coordination and support for field operations, ensuring accurate integration of 3D scans and field data into project models. Prepare and manage technical documentation, drawings, and schedules required by project teams. Ensure the accuracy and quality of all models, adhering to project standards and deadlines. Stay current with advancements in BIM and VDC technologies, applying knowledge to improve modeling processes and project outcomes. Utilize collaboration tools to enhance communication and model accessibility. Essential Skills Proficiency in Revit with the ability to create and manage detailed 3D models. Experience with
LOD 350-400.
Experience doing electrical design, including conduit and cable trays. Proficiency in sleeve drawings, embedded field points, coordinating shop drawings. Minimum of 2 years of experience in VDC/BIM Modeling. Familiarity with AutoCAD and clash detection tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on industrial or commercial projects. Preferred experience in electrical trades. Work Environment This position offers the opportunity to work fully remotely, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role is part of a company dedicated to VDC design and involves working on large-scale projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $41.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
