Your impact We are seeking an Electrical Design Technician / CAD Intern to support the BIAF team in our Corvallis, Oregon office. This position is specifically designed for students currently enrolled in a Computer-Aided Drafting, CAD, or Design Technology program who are looking to build hands-on experience producing electrical and instrumentation-related drawings in a professional design environment. This is a CAD- and drafting-focused internship, intended to support designers and engineers through technical documentation and plan production. It is not an engineering internship During your internship, you will assist with the creation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation CAD drawings, working primarily in 2D drafting, with opportunities to learn 3D BIM tools over time. You will use Bentley and Revit, along with other specialty software, and receive on-the-job training in drafting standards and workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing and revising electrical and I&C CAD drawings Supporting multiple projects under the guidance of senior designers Applying company drafting standards and CAD workflows Assisting with plan sets, layouts, and documentation Collaborating with engineers and designers in a technical support role Building practical CAD skills while completing your education Pave the way for your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed - today and into tomorrow. Here's what you'll need Currently enrolled in a CAD, Drafting, or Design Technology program (Computer-Aided Drafting, Drafting & Design, or similar) Interest in pursuing a career as an Electrical CAD Technician or Design Technician Familiarity with CAD or drafting software Ability to work 16-20 hours per week during the school year Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Clear written and verbal communication skills Ideally you will also have Exposure to Bentley, Revit, or AutoCAD Experience working with 2D technical drawings Interest in learning 3D BIM tools over time Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn Posted Salary Range:
Minimum 47,300.00 Posted Salary Range:

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
